Many thanks to Amazon for offering the Kindle version that I can keep it in my tablet instead of giving it away by the time I leave China.

In the firist book of his six volume history of WW2, Sir Winston Churchill covers the interwar years from own viewpoint. He was convinced at the very beginning that Germany was set a path that could end in another World War. While it's common to portray him as 'a voice crying in the wilderness', his access to high level government information makes it obvious that many of the political leaders and civil servants had a much higher regard for him"rest":" and his views than they could afford to publicly express. I just can't wait to finish all six volumes to see how Sir Churchill deal with the madness of the world."

厚厚的，比口袋书要略大，总体质量还行。这是在亚马逊直接买的，没有发现那些严重的印刷不清的问题，字迹都算清晰可辨，但还是有些小，排版也比较密，难免一些印刷油墨比较重的地方会出现其他用户提到的问题，但我看来不算严重，不影响阅读。拿到书右上角有点擦损，其他都没问题。此外，纸张确实有些薄，也不是护眼纸。综上述，我对这本企鹅书的印刷质量不是特别满意，但是丘吉尔的这套著作只能买到这个版本的，也算感恩了。

书好。印刷和纸质量比较差。贵呀。就当时从伦敦买了一本廉价书吧。

确实很好，但是阅读有点难度啊，虽然经常在工作中也使用英语，但是书中有很多长句难句，加之对于书中的人名不是很熟悉，理解有困难，需要补一下当时的历史背景。

这本书是美国版的，原价20刀，嘿嘿
看过很多对05年英国企鹅版纸质的负面评论，所以心里没有抱很大希望，考虑到原价我觉得物有所值！推荐！

同时买了两卷本，和第一卷比，封面没有烫金，印刷模糊，换货后，发现还是一样……太让人失望了

这次同时买了４本Pengium出版社的原版书，其余三本是亚马逊发货的。先看了亚马逊发的另一本pengium的书，今天开始看这本，总觉得不舒服，仔细对比了正文的印刷质量，才注意到不同页间黑色浓度有差异，不少英文字有细微断笔现象，首页背胶外露。虽不影响阅读，但相形之下，总让人对此书出身不禁生疑。庆幸未将此套书一次购全。适合随看随丢，不入藏书。

一直没有买中文版，即使是六卷头的仍然害怕被阉割，所以先买了原版的第一册看看。经典的版本，纸张质量个人觉得还能够接受，毕竟是企鹅的平装版，这个价格对比亚马逊上的个人觉得还不算太亏了。决定购买剩余5册。第六册价格有严重疑问啊……

如题。ix页的Introduction有个错字：第二段倒数第十行recollections of what he had identified as key eposides.这句话中的eposides错了，正确的应该是episodes。后面的内容还没来得及看。

刚收到书，虽然比预计的时间要短，之前的评论也有提到，就不多说了，只是希望卖家能在发货前把书好好包装一下，一路磕磕碰碰的，买家拿到这样的书难免会伤心
