作者简介Joanne K. Rowling, geboren 1965, hatte schon als Kind den Wunsch, Schriftstellerin zu werden. 1983 studierte sie Franz?sisch und Altphilologie. W?hrend einer Zugfahrt erfand sie 1990 die Romanfigur Harry Potter.
1991 ging Rowling nach Portugal. In dieser Zeit arbeitete sie viel am ersten ihrer geplanten sieben Harry-Potter-Bücher. 1992 Heirat, die Ehe w?hrte jedoch nur kurz - 1993 Geburt der Tochter Jessica.
Rowling ging nach Gro?britannien zurück. Als allein erziehende Mutter lebte sie zun?chst von Sozialhilfe. 1997 wurde "Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen" ver?ffentlicht. Nur drei Tage danach ersteigerte der US-Verlag Scholastic überraschend die amerikanischen Rechte.
2000 verkaufte Rowling alle Vermarktungsrechte einschlie?lich der Filmrechte, behielt jedoch die Verlagsrechte sowie ein Mitspracherecht bei den Filmen.
2001 heiratete Rowling den Arzt Neil Murray mit dem sie 2 Kinder hat.
Inzwischen wurden ihre Harry-Potter-Romane in mehr als 60 Sprachen übersetzt.
2010 hat die Autorin in Odense (D?nemark) den ersten Hans-Christian-Andersen-Literaturpreis in Empfang genommen.

A beautiful collection of sketches and computer animations of the creatures, characters and wizarding and non-maj communities in Fantastic Beasts. This book is ideal for those creative souls interested in visual development and production design. The book is sectioned into six chapters: New York, MACUSA, Newt's Case, The Fantastic Beasts, The Blind Pig, and The Obscurus. The book contains three postcards as well as a four page spread of character's wands.

I liked this book. I liked looking at all the concept designs that the different artists came up with, whether it is creatures, places, or characters. I think it is fascinating.
