故事不错,英语对孩子有点太难,纸张好,有助阅读,感觉好
内容很丰富,孩子很喜欢。
I gave this book to my best friend's 2-year old daughter, and she loved it. She immediately delighted in the illustrations on each page and started to identify the different animals in the story. Her mom read the book to her as a bedtime story that night, and they especially enjoyed singing part of the lyrics of "O Christmas Tree" that were written into the story. I also ordered a plush stuffed Christmas mouse toy for the child to go along with the mice on the cover of the book. I thought the mice would be the ones who ended up with the littlest Christmas tree, but (spoiler alert!) the mice don't end up with the tree in the story...the squirrels who run the Christmas tree stand actually take it home and make it their own tree. No problem, the toy was still a big hit just like this book!
This book is really really cute. And as fate would have it, I read it to my 5 year old on Christmas (I hadn't read it before) and it turns out the little critter who get's the smallest tree, his name is the same as my sons. His eyes lit up immediately, it was really the cutest thing! If your kid loves christmas, decorating, trees the whole deal then this is the perfect little book to add to your collection.
It's not a hard cover, but it's the content that is sweet and perfect for christmas.
Good book. The only reason it's getting 4 stars is because it is not meant for 4 year olds, even though the description claims it is. The story was too long for my preschool class. They were lost three pages in. Good book for maybe 5-6 years of age.
This is the kind of book that you will read every Christmas Eve as your kids grow and new siblings appear. My only complaint is the stickers that are supposed to be scratch and sniff don't really do anything. I think they're just old and tired.
The illustrations are the strong point. The plot is a bit slow and trite. I mean I know it's a holiday story and they tend to be formulaic, but a LOT of people have taken a crack at the "tiny, insecure tree gets its day" trope and this is not among the top tier. Adorable mice and worth the low price, but not a classic.
