This is the 27th (and final) volume in the Claymore series. It did an excellent job of wrapping up this series. There were some awesome action scenes and some huge surprises.
Volume 26 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger when we see Clare access Teresa of the Faint Smile. In this book we see the implications of that and follow an epic battle between Clare/Teresa and Priscilla.
We get a little back story on Clare, Priscilla, and Raki which was a nice diversion from the main battle and did a good job of filling out the story. The illustration remains top notch as well.
I really loved how everything wrapped up. There are some loose ends but overall it was tied up in a way that was realistic, engaging and just...well...nice!
Overall this was the perfect closure to an excellent manga series. There is a lot of action, some surprises, and an excellent story. I would highly recommend this whole series to those who enjoy action-packed fantasy shounen.
The last book in the Claymore series. Normally I would read online however I could not end this manga digitally. The writing in this book is phenomenal, plot is amazing.Long story short, this book is the ending that keeps you warm on the inside. However, reading the fights can only serve a limited amount of justice as opposed to an anime version so I can only hope a season 2 comes out within the next year...one can dream that is.
I'm not an english native speak person so previously I offer apologies for the way of the writing, also I haven't seen nor read an extensive amount of manga and anime, but the claymore saga takes manga to another level, may exist other very good Works, also like kurohime, but this manga was the reason why I begin to study japanese, because I wanted to read the original novel in Japanese, claymore teachs thar everyone hidden in our sentiments could be a monster o divine and we have to learn how to control them. Thank you
Reaching its final edition, Claymore has been a part of my manga library going on a few years now and this conclusion did not disappoint. I assume if you are looking into this book, you likely read all the others so no need for a synopsis. All I will say is most of the loose ends you may have wanted to close are closed and the ending is satisfying. It doesn't try to go too light and leave too many things open or go overblown epic. It keeps the pace that the story has been tracking on and closes out right. A great read.
