整本书都是英文手写出来的，非常详细的讲述了英文书法的书写方式，书写种类（没有圆体，花体，只有意大利体，哥特体，罗马体，凯尔特体，印刷体以及数字的书写），书写的历史，书写工具等等
内容完整，讲述系统，从发展历史、艺术鉴赏、工具选择、书写方法等几个方面全方位介绍，讲述方法也很直观有效。
没有接触过西方书法的读者可以用它形成比较完整的概念，并练至小成。
如果不是深度钻研，基本不需要参考其他资料。
全书全部手写，读者能够真切感受到作者的创作情怀。
學意大利體和哥特體的朋友，用這本很不錯，很詳細。
整本書都是作者手寫，沒有用電腦印刷體字是這本書的特點。
唯一的缺點是全英語的，我看起來有點吃力啊……
内容很赞，但是并未说明kandle版本正文跟原书不同，买kindle版本一定要注意。特别是对于本身就是讲述字体的书，这种不同兼简直不可原谅的！
在我看来 就是意大利斜体和哥特体两种比较有用 不像有些买家形容的那么天花乱坠
注意！！！！没有讲述任何关于copperplate的讲述
所以想要学习圆体书法的买家就不要考虑了！
这本书凭心而论 是很不错的
但是听信了有些买家 很失真的形容而买的同仁们 必将非常失望
对许多字体做了比较详尽的介绍。正文都是作者手写的并且配有插画，很有趣味。
意大利体感觉非常规整，以前写花体写的审美疲劳了，换个字体练习下，书的内容很丰富，全手写，比较适合我。
我是初学者，看到该书全部手写完成，很敬佩~！这是非常好的练习贴+英语学习+字体历史和特点的一本书。
里面介绍了罗马意大利哥特艺术体的概论和练习方法，没有圆体。
