这版精装的货源其实比较稀有，但其质量真的无可挑剔，无论是质感精致的布艺工艺，还是风格独特的绘图设计，都凸显了这版的与众不同，品相极佳，是值得入手珍藏的一套。印刷质量也很不错，字体大小看着适中，比较利于阅读，还隐隐散发着好闻的书香，增加了阅读氛围。很赞！必须五星。
I see some people down there said they think the books were horrible and the paper is rough and the words are inky and not clear and it's fragile but i think NOT AT ALL. Well some people do say they didn't mean THIS BOOK SET (like the comments were mixed up or something), and I guess I'll make it clear that THIS one I'm saying is "The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings: Boxed Set", 2011.11.22, paperback.
And back to the topic: these books were quite small, indeed, they're like pocket-books, theyare really light and easy to carry. The paper is just like....normal English books' paper"rest":", well, not as smooth as Chinese books' paper of course, I know that, but that's what all English books are.The words are NOT inky or blurry, siriusly (Harry Potter reference ;D), it's pretty neat and clear. The smell is NOT inky and bad and smelly, IT'S THE BEST SMELL IN THIS WHOLE WORLD OKAY? IT'S THE SMELL OF BOOKS. And when I went to take it from my mailbox, it was in quite a big paper box. I cut the tapes open and saw there were quite a few, like, bubble paper and wrapping paper rolled through the book-set to pretect the books. Everything was so great, I think. It's just, as far as I concern, it was a great book set, both the texts and the outside are good. So if you're kind of messing up by what the readers below said, I'm telling you it's not true (or maybe as they say the system goes wrong?).<br />One last thing: I AM NOT THE SELLER OF THIS, OKAY? I know a lot of you will think I am like the seller pretend to be a costermer and said how great his/her books are. But I'm really just a costermer that wanted those who'd been confused like I did by those comments know this book set is actually great."
首先说一下amazon的评论区确实混乱，各种版本的评论混在一起，一般人根本没法分辨出来。
来说一下这套书吧，这套所谓的60周年纪念版的ISBN号为：9780007581146，各分册的ISBN号在图片上能找到。这套书是3册the lord of the rings加上一本reader's companion。The lord of the rings是2005年出版的，和50周年的一模一样， Reader's companion是2014年重新修订的版本。其实这几本书在amazon上都有分开卖的，只不过一起买便宜一些，还有一个硬质的slipcase。当然书的本身质量还是可以的，里面还插有几张地图。这套书在[……]的官网上标价90英镑，不过国内就便宜了一半，但货很少。希望这些信息能对买书的人有些帮助吧。
亚马逊的评论区太乱了，啥版本都在一起，真是很差的一个设置，不同版本就应该有各自的评论区，混在一起制造销量高的假象，实在有点太混淆。
所以我传了照片。
装帧真的好，太精美了。不过书脊有些脆弱。
但印刷就真的太糟糕了，糟蹋这样一个原本可以成为经典的版本。Hobbit的印刷正常，虽然不算极佳但起码不影响阅读，但TROTR三本就太恐怖了，字太模糊了，糊糊糊糊糊糊糊糊糊作一团，本来压缩成一小本，行距、页边距都偏小不舒服，印刷又太烂了，真的影响阅读。
怪不得50美元的定价只卖人民币200块不到，printed in china估计是Mifflin公司也恼火，低价抛售，说不定连国门都没出过呢。
考虑退货
包装确实和图片上的一模一样，看起来很不错的样子，可是……在打开书本的那一刻我终于相信，原来美国也是有盗版的……！
这套书外表看起来光鲜亮丽，里面的印刷真是惨不忍睹啊啊啊！油墨太重，字都糊在一起了，更杯具的是书里面的诗歌是用斜体印刷的，根本看不清那一行一行的是什么。
果断退货，在卓越上搜罗了另一个版本的全套，才终于找到原版外文书的感觉，就是这个：

另外，回楼上：这套书没有插图，不过HarperCollins的那版有，质量也很好。
亚马逊没有第一方的，在友商处半价买来了，收到货第一时间到亚马逊处评论。布面精装，虽然画风有些另类，但是还算拿得出手。国外的东西就是这样，便宜的简装本书，纸张要多差有多差，装订要多薄弱有多薄弱，但是人家不是做不好，纯粹是成本考量。所以如果要珍藏的话，合适的价位买精装本来绝对不亏。字其实略微有点小，能接受的范畴。霍比特人每隔一定页数会有插图。魔戒三部曲除了必要的说明外没有插图。。。不知道其他版本是不是这样。内容就不说了，能花高出中文版几倍价钱买来的人一定知道的，可以说西方奇幻小说中兴鼻祖。即使像我这样没看过电影没看过原著的人，也是值得收藏的。
