I had this book as a child and I have many happy memories of sitting with my great aunt to read this with her. I am so glad my daughter can read this too!
Illustrations are PACKED with detail and whimsy, text is poetic but still informative. Tells all about how things are grown on a farm and the hard work involved. Shows plants growing and goes through the seasons. There's a sweet song in the end too.
Boys and girls will love this. Absolutely adorable and fun too while still educational.
The service from Amazon is so good. And the speed on getting it to delivery was great. I got to take it to my 4-year old Grandson for his birthday when I went to visit him. His birthday theme this year is all about planting, so I got him a bunch do children's gardening tools. This book fits in perfectly. And I am so happy with the service and product of Amazon.
I gave this book to my grandson in lieu of a birthday card for his second birthday. Like all Golden Books, it is adorable and classic, but not the best to actually read with its cardboard covers and lightweight pages. I loved it! Great for his collection.
Beautifully illustrated introduction to gardening for toddlers, preschoolers, gradeschoolers, and beyond. It really captures the joy and anticipation of gardening...the rewarding work of planting seeds and tending to plants, culminating in a bountiful harvest.
My grandmother used to read this story to me when I was a child. It captured perfectly how she kept her garden. That was 50 years ago. I was thrilled to find it at Amazon and in new condition. What a treasure!
