版面比较干净 字比较大 看着挺舒服
This is not a Kindle book. When you open the book you are redirected to the Gutenberg Library. It doesn't keep your place. And if I am not mistaken everything on the Gutenberg Online Library is free. So why did I pay for this?
I read reviews before ordering the "Classic Starts" version of the tale, A Little Princess. I myself was attracted to the other classic this author wrote, The Secret Garden, and I ordered the unabridged edition of it, for a bedtime story, read by an adult. My choice of the Classic Starts was perfect for my granddaughter who is 7, to read to herself. She is visiting, and when she went to bed, she lay absorbed. She did not want to put the book down. She stumbled over one word, "Ingia" and it was a point of discussion for us. The book is an enormous success for her. I LOVE seeing her so captivated by a book.
Absolutely loved this book. I loved everything about it even when it made my heart break for the lead character Sara. I am a fan of Frances Hodgson Burnett as she is truly able to tell a tale and make you fall in love/hate with all her characters.
This in my opinion is a very good book, it is about a young girl, Sara, whose father is very wealthy and is very spoiled. She is very sweet and compassionate. She goes to a boarding school and her life changes, I don't want to say how. It is great book and I recommend it to any reader! P.S. The Secret Garden is also highly recommended by me! (By Burnett)
This is my all time favorite childhood book. Love the little heroine. Little girls need positive role models, and Sarah Crewe is a far better one in the book than in any of the subsequent movies. Plus the book ends differently than the movie. A young girl's must read.
