Let me start off by saying that there is nothing wrong with the content or the reading level in these books. My son loves them, and they have motivated him to read. The problem, in my opinion, is that these books are too short. My level 2 reader wants to read at a level 2, but he wants to read more material. After he's read this book once, he has no interest in revisiting it. He is struggling with chapter books for his age, and if these level 2 books were longer, he'd be much more entertained. I have bought several of the books at this level for him, but after one 5 minute read, he no longer wans them, making these a huge waste of my money. I'd rather help him struggle through more difficult chapter books, as he will take weeks to read them (intermittently, of course), and wants to read them over again.
It would be great if there were chapter books at this reading level.
I didn't buy this for me, it was for a friend's child, he is 8 years old and he is having some problems with his reading skills, we got him this comic book and problem solved, he loves them, they are entertaining and keeps reading them and reading them. Great book for children.
My 6 year old son didn't like to read but he loves the Marvel super heroes. He loves to read now that I purchased this series of books. These books are easy to read and have great illustrations. I highly recommend this purchase.
My 3 year old is really into Spiderman. The problem is this book barely has any pictures of Spiderman! This book is very long and is the whole history of Peter Parker being picked on at school, being bit by a spider, becoming a wrestler, yada yada yada. There's only a few pages at the end with actual Spiderman.
I have to say this book is my son`s favorite book, he loves spider-man so much, this story book tells a lot how peter became to the spider-man, GReat!
