Great book! Little tests you can use weekly (or daily) to test how your kid is doing, or just for practice. I find 3-4 pages of test is good enough for keeping the child occupied and not so overthrown with tasks. I love that those books have the answer keys, so you can actually calculate their result on each test! Will buy again next grade year.
Good practice work for the kids at a reasonable price. The math sheets are not hard to understand and use.
I love this book for review in the weeks just before testing. It touches a little of every topic. I also like the fact that at the back pages there is a list of all the skills catered for in each test. I recommend it for grades five and six teachers.

The tests in this book are really excellent for fifth graders. They contains multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, time & money, problem solving, geometry & measurement. The eight practice tests can help kids prepare to take standardized tests. Each test has 20-30 multiple-choice items resemble the kinds of questions kids will have to answer on real tests. Each part of the test will take 30-40 minutes for them to complete. I often tell my daughter how much time she will have to complete the test. I also encourage her to work quickly and carefully and to keep track of the remaining time--just as she would in a real testing session. I make a copy of the answer sheet at the end of the test. The answer sheet helps my daughter become accustomed to filling in bubbles on a real test.
For improving speed, I simply used the printable worksheets on the Beestar website. They are probably the best among the many learning sites. My daughter is ranked high in the honor roll. Beestar helps her to improve the speed and accuracy on standardized tests.
