This is one of those books where the author is able to create an intricate world filled with impeccable details of all aspects. Not only are you thrusted into a new world but you are also able to experience it in the way that the characters do.
I found the societal aspects to be interesting, combining classical mythical races with humanity of approximately the 1800s (not quite industrial revolution yet incorporates aspects from that era). It must have taken long hours and possibly sleepless nights to compose such an extensive world with creativity flowing endlessly throughout the tale.
Yes, there are quite a few characters to get to know, each with an distinguishable personality, but it's these very details that draw you in and make you curious about their foretold fate.
If there was one negative thing to note about this well-written tale, it would be that I noticed quite a few grammatical errors, specifically spelling, throughout the ebook. Simple, understandable ones that were accidentally overlooked.
This is a five star story with cliff hanger twist at the end. Instead of giving the reader a complete adventure, the author chose to steal the show at the end and leave the reader unsatisfied and hanging in the air.
I LOVED THE STORY, but I will not read any more books in the series. I read for my enjoyment, not for the author's income. Please don't try and hook me with a cheat ending. (Make the ending really good and I'll go hunt for more books by that author. Too bad.)
Very novel ideas with the demonology and alternate demon world but the story emphasizes too much bullies and the means they will go to hurt someone. Certainly earth history has demonstrated bullies in many forms but the smearing done by bullies in the book seemed too extreme. It would have been better to provide additional obstacles besides the bullies to accelerate the protagonist's character growth.
