书边有毛刺，切得非常没水平，而且整个装帧很水的感觉，书脊单薄，纸板印刷好像是贴上去的一层薄纸。以前一直在某宝上的固定几家购买原版纸板书，这回头一次在亚马逊买，品相竟如此让人不敢恭维，太不可思议了。
买的套装，其中有两本感觉很好
This is a cute little set. My daughter LOVES the "Blue Hat, Green Hat" Blue Hat, Green Hat (Boynton on Board) and the "Moo Baa La La La" Moo Baa La La La books. She wasn't so big on the other two books ("Doggies" and "A to Z"). When I purchased more books for gifts for friends, instead of this set I just purchased the "Blue Hat, Green Hat" and "Moo Baa La La La" books separately instead of buying this set again. I also highly highly recommend the "Hippos Go Berserk!" Hippos Go Berserk! book by Boynton. My daughter LOVES that one the most but it is not included in this set.
I decided to get this set since it's supposed to be the "greatest hits" from the author and we didn't have any of her books yet. While this is a nice set to add to a book collection, it leaves a few things to be desired. First, the books (especially "Doggies") aren't really stories with much of a narrative. So while my son enjoys flipping through the pages, it's not quite the same as reading him an actual story book. Second, the construction quality seems a bit poor compared to many of our other board books. My son isn't incredibly rough with books, but they do get tossed and thrown around a bit. These ones haven't held up very well. We haven't tried any other books from this author because I wasn't super impressed with these "greatest hits". Overall, I don't think these are a must have, but we have still enjoyed the set.
This 4 book set of Sandra Boynton's Greatest Hits is a nice addition to my daughter's night time reading list. The illustrations are whimsical and the writing has a very musical pace that get's better with repeated readings. Because they are board books, they are short and make good supplemental books when my daughter says,"Daddy, I want 5 books tonight." She usually picks one long book and a few of her Sandra Boynton books.
There are plenty of opportunities to sound out words and learn letters, especially with the book "A to Z." The repetition of "Blue Hat, Green Hat" encourages my daughter to read along, when she's not busy falling asleep.
This book set is perfect for a 2-4 year old and I would highly recommend them.
I bought these books for my almost-two-year-old because she just looooooves to read with me. She's my 5th, and while my other kids enjoyed books, I have never had a kid beg to be read to as much as this little girl does. So I figured we'd better refresh our toddler book collection, since ours was somewhat lacking and I was tired of reading the same few books over and over. This collection has two books that I have really enjoyed reading to her, and two that I enjoyed a little less. I got tired of barking like a dog over and over and over with the doggy book, but she is content just counting the dogs some of the time so I can deal. I love the Red Hat book, and we laugh at the turkey. And our favorite is the Moo, Baa, Lalala book! Overall, I think it was a great purchase. And durability has been excellent.
We received Vol. 1 and 2 of these books when our daughter was born in 2001. They were great as her 1st bedtime stories. The simple drawings with bright colours give a lot to things to point at and talk about beyond the stories. We had them for years from infancy, through toddler/teething (they didn't look so good after a while :-), reading to herself until they'd, uhmmm, done their duty and were discarded. We started buying these for any friends/family that had a newborn as our gift. And continue to do so (two sets were just bought for co-workers having their first). They are labeled as meeting safety standards (not true of all board books!) and are Made in U.S.A. Very young children will mouth the edges/corners of board books; be sure yours are safe!
