This book is amazing! I love the illustrations and the story itself. The pop-up items are adorable and it's just an overall really fun book to read with the kids while teaching them about their emotions. It's like a coffee table book for children because of the art. Just keep it away from the very little ones as some of the pop-up features are fragile. Other than that, it's a great book and I would recommend it as a great choice for any child's library.
wow. what a gorgeous book. wonderful message as well. Don't get mixed up with all your feelings. Put them into bottles so you can manage them as they come. Of course that's from an adults prospective. From my four year old son's perspective it's more like, "cool, I like the strings that are attached to the rain clouds." And the last page, with the hearts was really heartwarming. Love this book. Great gift book. So beautiful.
beautiful book well written but the pop up...hards for kids not to touch and pull and play with....
LOVE this book. My 3 1/2 year old can't get enough of this story. The illustrations are fantastic, the pop ups are engaging & elaborate, and the story is wonderful. It's very relatable to preschoolers & young elementary schoolers. The text on each page is short so it keeps the young kids interested. My daughter had the story memorized after only a few days.
My 3 year old daughter loved this book when we read it together so much, she immediately made me read it to her again! I agree that the pop-ups could potentially be fragile and get easily broken if she is left to her own devices to read/play with this book alone. So until she is a little older, I will definitely be reading this one together with her and curb some of her more enthusiastic responses to each of the beautiful, exciting pages of this book. She hasn't quite got the emotion being displayed on each page yet, but I know with repeat readings, she will be able to learn and understand some of her own crazy, mixed-up feelings, much like color monster.
