8 year old daughter loves the Tom Gates books - a big hit. The Tom Gates books are good clean, intelligent, fun. Great art and funny. I don't like the Dork Diaries or books like that. I don't think they set a very high bar, or good example.

Ok, I'll confess! I bought this book for our little one and when it arrived, I skimmed the middle of the book. I LOVED it!!! So, I kept reading!! I had our little one read it along with me because she wanted to know what I was giggling about :)

My 8 year old really enjoys this series of books.
