I bought this book some time ago for my toddler. She is now 5 and still loves all of her Leslie Patricelli books. It is an extremely durable book that has withstood bites, throws, and a good bit of disregard at times. The illustrations are colorful and happy and sure to catch your child's attention. These can be hard to find in stores so I often buy LP books online and give them as gifts since I know most Moms will not have come across them in the store.
My children love all of Ms. Patricelli's books, but this one has to be our all-time #1 hit. I am not exaggerating when I say I read it 20 times the first night it came out of the Amazon box! The genius of these books lies in two areas: the simple text and the hilarious illustrations of the baby...that gi-normous grin gives all of us the giggles. My toddlers love reading along..."whee!" "ow!" etc.
Adorable books and simple to read to my 8 month year old. The colors and simple text keep my baby's attention and he likes to look at the baby. I recommend to parents with babies under 1, though you can definitely use this book longer as you point out things happening in the book.
My son loves this book! Started reading it to him when he was very young and he lights up every time he sees the book! Loves bath time because of the book. All of Leslie Patricelli's books are great. We also love Big Little and Yummy Yucky. Very simple pages for our little one to look at where he does not loose his attention. Highly recommended.
I love these books and so do our three young boys, ages 1, 3, and 4. We read several of Patricelli's books most nights. I love the vivid, simple coloring scheme of the pages, with just a few words per page. It's perfect for little boys with short attention spans.
I noticed that a couple of Patricelli's books are not available on the Kindle store. Please get all your books on Kindle and please make more of these books. They are awesome, and we've got another boy coming so you keep the books coming too! Patricelli has a great thing going here.
