I have always been skeptic of books that claim to have complete curriculum, but I have to say I was really impressed by these books. You will need a science and ss book to go along but as far as the math, LA, writing, reading and spelling this book has it covered. It is much bigger then I expected. I also have my kids read other books the reading section has small passages and paragraphs with questions. I'd add some chapter books. This book was pretty cheep to buy as well. I had figured for the price it would be a good book to use for extra work sheets but when I saw how much it had decided to use it as our curriculum. I also found I liked the science and social studies books that this publisher puts out. They are hard cover and more expensive new but I found used ones for a very reasonable price in great condition.

Great supplement for homeschooling. It lacks on math, geometry and fractions. In The writing section some of the subjects my son thought they were silly things to write about so we changed and chose other subjects. Also doesn't have much history, it does explain at the beginning of each subject which other workbooks don't do, but I wouldn't call it a complete curriculum, I guess if it was complete the book would be double the size.

I wouldn't consider it necessarily 'complete' but we use it as a supplement to our homeschool just to make sure that we are still on track with the standards for the education system, should we ever decide to 'go back to school.' It's clear and concise, and does the trick for quick, but thorough, review lessons. It also has a test prep section which is nice for us, since our homeschool does not include any standardized testing material, the kids can at least familiarize themselves with the format.

Love this series. I homeschool two boys and they LOVE these books. I can't believe how much they have learned in such a short time with these worksheets! Very easy to supplement the lessons if desired, but not super necessary. I certainly add to their curriculum with library books, field trips, and video/computer content, but these books are fantastic!

We got the grade 4,5,and 6 books because we liked the grade 3 one that we bought and used last year. In a world where businesses go out of business and the prices seem to go up every year etc,,, we thought it would be a good idea to stock up on all of them now. Great books and at a great price too!
