ELOISE WILKIN (1904–1987) is one of the most beloved and prolific Golden Books illustrators. Wilkin’s loving depiction of the natural world, and her paintings of cherubic children, helped make Golden Books an icon. Her Little Golden Books My Little Golden Book About God and Prayers for Children have never been out of print.

Overall cute golden book. The early sixties drawings have great charm. My five year old, who knows his alphabet well, did struggle a little deciphering the letters due to the frilly fonts sometimes used in the book. However, this book wasn't really purchased to be a teaching abc book.
I bought quite a few Christmas books for my children ages 1 and 3 this past Christmas. This was my favorite. I love the beautiful vintage illustrations. It's so full of things to talk about with them. It's absolutely precious and endearing. I wish this was made in the larger, more substantial "Big Golden Book" series. I adore Little Golden Books, but I worry about them holding up with my kids. I'm keeping this one up on the top shelf! It's a treasure!
What's not to love about a book illustrated by Eloise Wilkin? This makes a perfect gift for any child for Christmas. It doesn't hurt that the little girl on the cover bears a striking resemblance to my adorable little granddaughter.
One of the last volumes I need to have every work of Eloise Wilkins. The book is in better shape than I expected, and was sent in protective, recyclable cardboard, which I appreciate. Will definitely look to do business with them again. Highly recommend, for service.
I purchased this book for my nearly 3 y/o son since he is ABC obsessed lately. We read whichever books he picks out each night before bed. This book has been chosen every night. I love reading it too, it's the perfect pre-Christmas book for any little one.
