My 7 yr old daughter has dyslexia so reading is a real challenge for her. This is a GREAT series for girls, especially struggling readers. It helps build their reading confidence because, like their classmates, they are reading a "chapter book" but the chapters are short and it is easy to read. I told her 2nd grade teacher about this series because she was not familiar with it, and plan to purchase it for their classroom.
Stumbled upon this series by accident. My daughter (in 1st grade) was worried that they were too difficult for her (she had never read a chapter book by herself before). She had read book 1 by the end of 1st grade and I could hardly keep up with her as fast as she was finishing them. She's read all the books multiple times and still loves them (in 3rd grade). Cute stories with good lessons.

My granddaughter (who is in first grade) just loved this book and I did too. I'm just wondering....does Posey have a dad? Is her dad referred to in another book in the series?
I want to be a ballerina and wear a leotard like posey.
