Wow! I ***LOVED*** this book! I read it one day, it was that good. The characters were great. More than once I giggled out loud, which is good for me. And yes, I cried too. This book felt darker than the previous few. If you are looking for a book with a strong, clever heroine, (who can be friends with good-looking boys without getting *too* mushy), who solves her problems without whining about them, and pulls you in to a fast-paced adventure filled with surprises, this is the *best* option. Shannon Messenger just keeps getting better. Keeper of the Lost Cities was already my favorite when I read it the first time, then Exile came out, and Everblaze!!!...it topped everything. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Kenric's death was incredibly sad. But it shows a growing point in in the series. It takes guts to kill off a character the right way. Especially one that you've allowed the characters to bond with. Compare it to the first few Percy Jackson books. Percy's mother, Tyson, Thalia, and to some extent, Annabeth all were pronounced dead, and then, surprise! they're alive. Also, the betrayal of Keefe's mom. This is where I find a *gasp* fault. It was a great plot twist, and a surprising betrayal, but it seems it was only a surprise because we only 'met' Keefe's mother in this book. Other than that, I'm blind to any faults. All in all, amazing!

This series keeps getting better and better! The relationships forged and mysteries revealed and unraveling. This is an adventure that has me at the edge of my seat and completely addicted.

My absolute favorite aspect of this series is the character development. The development between Sophie, Grady, and Edaline is so heart swelling; you feel the family love that warms you to the core.
I also like how Sophie keeps getting boy fans. Between Fitz, Keefe, and Dex, I have no clue which one I favor most; however, I'm honestly favoring Fitz and Keefe. These friendships and love interests are so enticing and funny to read their unfolding. Although, I have no idea who Sophie will choose (nor would I), I think she has other issues to be concerned with; like save the whole Elvin world. So boy problems can probably wait til later (or not).

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series!!!

Shannon Messenger has crafted yet another amazing book. She has the fantastic ability to write books that continue the series arc, yet still have their own complete story. Her world building is amazing and her dialogue? I love it. This isn't a short read page-wise, but it sure feels like one while reading. It is one of those books that refuses to let you go and stays on your mind long after finishing the last chapter. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. Honestly? I had a ball reading this book, just like I did the last two. I am so thankful that this series has a fourth installment coming!!!

This was such a great series and I am hoping that there are more books in the series to come! I definitely feel that this could be one of the next books to be made into a Big Screen Movie! This book series will definitely be a hit with our school age children, but I think adults will love it also!
Once again I would encourage the author and publisher to get this into the AR testing reading program, the school age kids who could potentially make these books a top seller will pass them up for a book that is on the list, please do not let that happen!

This is a great book and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one. I'm not going to say anything about the story so I do not spoil anything for people who have not read it yet. All I am saying is I put this book as an equal to Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. This is by far my favorite book series and it should have much more recognition then it does now. Reading this book made me feel like I was part of the story. I love the ideas and think the author is brilliant. I you do not give this series a chance you are truly missing out on something great.
