想找个造船的书籍如此之难，没想到外国人居然对我国帆船如此感兴趣。我们该努力了。
老外从实用角度对于中式帆装作了深入的研究。
I bought this book to expand my library of boat construction books. After reading it, looking carefully at the advice given (of which there is very little) I find the book lacking in all respects. No, it is not a detailed how-to, nor was I expecting it to be. A book with the words 'design' and 'build' in the title is expected to have and give some guidelines on which to proceed, this ones advice can be summarized, as 'Oh, what the hey, just do it!'. Not exactly what you want if you are about to spend thousands of dollars on a project on which your life may be at risk if it is done wrong.
At best this book is no more than an extended magazine 'cheerleading' article. I honestly advise others to save their money and search further for a source of useful information on building a junk rig.
Being new to the subject , I wanted an uncomplicated view of how to go about changing to junk rig. I feel from ONE reading that I could go ahead with a first project. I realism that I will have to learn more but I now have the structure d approach on which I can work.
Very clearly written, excellent value.

It does present all of the tools and techniques to convert an existing boat to a junk rig or for that matter put rig on a boat which hasn't been rigged with a sail before. The information included techniqes for finding the center of resistance, center of effort, size and placement of the mast, hardware sail size and construction and rigging. If you add in the info on the Junk Rig Association site it looks very possible.
