Matthew Christian Reinhart attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn as an industrial design major (concentrating in toy design). Pratt was fantastic experience for him, but his initial dreams of being a toy designer soon transformed into paper engineer. After working with Robert on books like The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, A B C Disney, and Movable Mother Goose. Matthew made his first big break into the pop-up world with The Pop Up Book Of Phobias. Many books collaborations have followed, including a trilogy of New York Times best-selling Encyclopedia Prehistorica and the following series Encyclopedia Mythologica with Robert Sabuda, along with Mommy?, co-authored with the renowned Maurice Sendak and Brava Strega Nona with the ageless Tomie DePaola. His solo pop-up books include The Ark, Animal Popposites, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, The Pop-Up Book of Nursery Rhymes, and STAR WARS: Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy. He continues to work and live in New York City, cutting, taping and folding paper into pop-up masterpieces.

This pop-up is so cool (pun intended!), I keep it on a high shelf so the kids can't get to it. Until they're a little older, this is strictly a "read with mom or dad" book. It's sturdy and well-made, but the little gremlins would tear it to shreds. Beautiful, intricate pop-up effects.
We've got a few of these Reinhart pop-ups now, and they're really impressive. The general quality on kids' toys is much worse than it was 25 years ago, but dang, pop-up books have gotten a lot better!
Bought this lovely Pop-Up Book for my sister (@ Christmas). She has other Books from Matthew Reinhart - and will love to add this to her growing collection. Brings back wonderful memories from the Film and its marvelous Cinematography.
I don't normally take the time to review things I buy, but I had to for this one! The pictures are beautiful, and the parts that pop-up are amazing! I got this for my daughter for her 4th birthday, and while she does take very good care of her books in general, she is able to easily do the pop-ups and turn the pages without any problems. This book was well worth it!
I purchased this book after seeing the author's YouTube video showing his products. Let me just say that the caliber of Matthew Reinhart's pop-up books are an order of magnitude superior to the competition. This is not the pop-up books I remember from my childhood. My daughter, who's a big Frozen fan, was ecstatic. No I'm getting the dinosaur or the transformer one for my son.
I collect pop-up books so I had to have the Frozen book in my collection. Matthew Reinhart is a master engineer. This book has the story of Frozen and presents it with some new spectacular engineering that is very impressive. These engineers just keep coming up with amazing new moves and huge stacks of of POP! Wow!
