—TOM KELLEY, partner, IDEO, and author of Creative Confidence
"In this wonderful little book, Dan Roam has achieved something remarkable. He shows how the simplest thing—making a quick little drawing of your thoughts—leads to a renewed sense of purpose, focus, calm, and mastery."

"Dan Roam is the master of using simple pictures to sell big ideas. I've stolen truckloads from him, and now you can, too."
—AUSTIN KLEON, author of Steal Like an Artist and Show Your Work!
"Like the lessons behind Dorothy's red ruby shoes, Draw To Win shows us that the ability to be innovative rests in all of us. In times of increasing complexity and change, using pictures to find and communicate simplicity is our most powerful weapon."
—LISA K. SOLOMON, coauthor of Moments of Impact

My rating is really a reflection of "I liked the book". As a seasoned "Visual Communication" person the book devotes too much time and repetition on convincing me on the value of visuals. I found two gems in the book and hence the 4 stars. I liked Dan Roam's approach to drawing stick figures. The other gem was communicating where the target audience fits in the visual story. I am a fan of Whiteboard Selling and in my current Whiteboard I was not making it clear where my audience fitted and hence what to do next. The result was a failed sales pitch.
Stop what you're doing and buy this book. It is so creative and inspiring. Dan Roam is a genius at what he does, and you can be, too. I am so grateful to Jim Edwards for the recommendation. I make my living speaking, teaching, and writing, but in my heart, I have always been an artist first. Dan's book has really encouraged me to weave doodling and sketching into my otherwise "perfectly executed" multimedia presentations. I LOVE this book!
I have always loved what Dan Roam has to say. But I don't like the little book format. I want a full sized book. I will likely go back and buy it for Kindle, but really, this size gives me a headache. I know you don't draw at this size, so why condense it?
