I never read THE JOURNAL OF THE TWO SISTERS but can image this being the Equestria girls counterpart of it. I have never been much of a fan of Diary format. Especially where the writing in cursive rather than print but the story plot allowed me to find this book pretty enjoyable. We get a sense of the age difference between human Celestia and Luna and learn more about Crystal Prep as the students as Celestia and Luna compete in the first ever friendship games against Principal Cinch Prep students. How the rivalry began.
