Indeed, this is the book that they say it is. It arrived in tact. It is paperback, as advertised. This was a family favorite and we were disappointed to learn the our original copy (an old hardback) had been sold or lost, so this was a good replacement. Yes, the book is a good enough children's classic to warrant purchasing a replacement copy of it, so if you have young kids, this is a good one to get.
Beautiful story comparable in its subtle humor and wisdom perhaps only to Eduard Uspensky's "tiny warranty men."
Great author for kids books. I like the usage of more complex vocabulary versus other children's books.
My daughter lived this little story and the illustrations. Short and sweet, perfect for short attention span kiddos. Short enough to be used as an early reader or great to read aloud at bedtime.
A beautifully illustrated little story about a little mouse who meets a wind-up toy mouse. At first he is envious of all the attention and love he sees the wind-up mouse receiving. But life, and magic, end up teaching this mouse a much more powerful lesson. Great story to read to my 3 yr old daughter.
