Pete loves painting, but overcommits new commissions of his goldfish picture to his friends. Turns his hobby into work that he doesn't enjoy, while not getting paid, causes stress. Mom has to step in with a solution. This isn't about pets. It's about hating the work that you love and not managing your time and commitments effectively. It's not the book you want to read every night for six weeks if you're overworked and understaffed.
My son loves the Pete the Cat books. I hadn't seen the series prior to seeing them on Amazon, but my sons teacher evidently had read them to his Kindergarten class weekly. Overall I love that we can read these books together, some he can read more than I need to - I love the illustrations and the funny story lines. Pete the cat is a hit in our home for sure!
I love this story its very cute how pete gets a pet goldfish and how he learns what he can and cant do with it. This book has helped our children learn to love goldfish and all fish just like another pet and while they know they cant touch fish they are still fun!
My preschoolers love any Pete book and this one is no exception. This simple reader is easy for the children to follow and allowed them to expand the discussion in new directions as we discussed their pets through the ideas in the book.
Pete the cat never fails to take the reader on a hillarious journey in every book. This one is no diffrent. The graphics are as expected from Pete, & the story line is so funny to my 7 yr old. We love Pete!
