Ernest Hemingway was born in Chicago in 1899, the second of six children. In 1917, he joined the Kansas City Star as a cub reporter. The following year, he volunteered as an ambulance driver on the Italian front, where he was badly wounded but decorated for his services. He returned to America in 1919, and married in 1921. In 1922, he reported on the Greco-Turkish war before resigning from journalism to devote himself to fiction. He settled in Paris, associating with other expatriates like Ezra Pound and Gertrude Stein. He was passionately involved with bullfighting, big-game hunting and deep-sea fishing. Recognition of his position in contemporary literature came in 1954 when he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, following the publication of The Old Man and the Sea. He died in 1961. 在书店看到这本书是75，这里49，也便宜了不少。
已知道他很薄，中译版我看过，很好看。决定买本原版。
这个出版社的书都很贵。再加上诺贝尔文学奖和海明威，这本书就值30块了。剩下的钱，是买封面的。
所以，给5星，就是因为封面

这种版式的书称为口袋书，纸质也轻，方便放在口袋里，包里，随身携带，是的老外就是这么读小说的，精装硬皮大开本肯定不方便拿，那是收藏用的。

包装很细心、精致，看着是正版书。以后买进口书就想认准这家了。

封面烫金名字，磨砂图片，打开书有好闻的书香味，里面的英文也很不错，文章里注释处还有标注是四级还是六级的词汇，章节后面有佳句名句赏析。挺不错的，正是我想要的。很适合用来学习英语

书的质量还不错,只是价格实在太贵了,看书的样子成本应该很低,却卖100大洋,对于我这个学生来说有点接受不了.

书很轻，携带轻便，纸张是回收纸，环保我很喜欢，内容还没看，应该也不会让我失望。

虽然是简装，但是质量还是很好的。
