Hergé, one of the most famous Belgians in the world, was a comics writer and artist. The internationally successful Adventures of Tintin are his most well-known and beloved works. They have been translated into 38 different languages and have inspired such legends as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. He wrote and illustrated for The Adventures of Tintin until his death in 1983.

Reading Tintin is a family tradition, so I bought several copies of this edition for my grandkids. It's a great idea to provide the background(s) to the story, but I wonder why it was necessary to reduce the page size. It fuzzes up the images and more importantly, makes it hard to read -- especially for old grandpas with failing eyesight.
Hergé was a true artist of the genre and he satisfies the most demanding readers every time. Highly recommended reading!
I love Tintin, and having a pocketable version is great.Im a school teacher and i ordered a set for our school library...the students love them...they particularly like reading the story and then turning to the back to find out how Herge came up with his ideas. The small format isnt really a problem, as the artwork looks great any size!
These series are simply THE BEST edition of the Tintin stories that exist. The extra materials are simply amazing, providing background on the story and the creative process. Great printing quality and size. Do yourself a big favor and buy ALL of them. I did, and I can't stop smiling. Feel like a kid again!
