作者简介Herve Tullet was born in 1958. After studying Fine Art, he worked as an Art Director before joining the advertising industry. In 1994 he published his first book for children and has since become one of the world's most innovative book makers. Known in France as '"The Prince of pre-school books", Tullet takes the concept of reading to a new level, teaching young minds to think imaginatively, independently and creatively.

Oh, what a fun book! Our toddler is absolutely in love with glowing pictures she can see in the dark. :D We make up our own story each time we look through it. There are no words, but there's a theme and continuity (space, rocket ship with a traveler, stars and planets).
It does require "charging" any time you plan on using it. And it's best to place it standing with pages open like a fan.
Herve Tullet makes the kind of children's books that parents who are into art & graphic design love. ;) These are original, artsy books with fun and clever illustrations. I have never seen a other book like this one. We have a few by this author, but this on is perhaps the most original one. All the pages have different shapes cut out; all in white. When you hold it up to the light for a few seconds, then turn off the light, all different things (with a space theme) appear on the pages through the glow-in-the-dark paint! Our son just loves it! We often read it before bed. You need a lamp nearby, though, as you have to put it up to the light quite often (this is of course part of the fun for the kids). Another tip is to make sure you hide the book when it is time for night-night, or the glowing book in the dark will be a distraction ;)
I have gotten this as a gift for other parents, and it's always been very memorable! It's one book that no one already has, it seems!
Love this book. It is really fun to play with at night. My kids like to focus flashlights to make some of the areas brighter than others. They are impressed with this book everytime we use it.
It's a really cool book but perhaps my 16-month old is too young for it. He loves books, but I think he prefers animals at this age. I, on the other hand, am fascinated with the shapes and lights...so I'm hoping my little one will grow fond of it.
Love this book... the glow-in the dark in, the fun shapes, and the unique concept. No words in the book itself, just glow in the dark ink in fun shapes and patterns. Also not as long as I thought it was going to be. Good size for little hands though and engaging.
