For junior/senior undergraduates taking a one-semester probability and statistics course as applied to engineering, science, or computer science.
This text covers the essential topics needed for a fundamental understanding of basic statistics and its applications in the fields of engineering and the sciences. Interesting, relevant applications use real data from actual studies, showing how the concepts and methods can be used to solve problems in the field. Students using this text should have the equivalent of the completion of one semester of differential and integral calculus.

This is literally the worst book in the subject of mathematics that I have come across. Please stay very far away from this book, unless it is required to do your homework, in which case you would not want to read anything other than the homework questions themselves. The proofs in this book are incoherent and not self-contained. The only reason I read this book was because it was the text required by my school for our Probability and Statistics course.
If I were you and you needed this book for coursework, I would just download it off the internet, then read Anthony Hayter's Probability and Statistics for Scientist's and Engineers to actually learn the content of this course.
i liked it
