。哈哈??。
Seems like a good place to start. Topics are brief with pretty good images. Have a kid pick a topic of interest and read the blurb in this book then research an experiment and/or further reading on the topic for rounded learning. I bought it for my niece and liked it so much, I returned to buy a copy for my son.
Topics covered:
What is science
Characteristics of living things
Classifying living things
Movement of creatures
Senses
Eating
Health
Life cycles
Plants
Ecosystems
Protecting the Planet (its tasteful - nothing too controversial)
Properties of materials (including buoyancy and magnetism)
States of matter
Physical and chemical changes
Water cycle
Forces
Light
Sound
Electricity
Astronomy
Day/Night
Seasons/Years
Scientific method
Measuring
Displaying results in graphics
Overall Nice very first book - has brief intros to science topics and at times needs more depth.
This is an amazing book!! Thick cover, thick pages. A little about everything in here!! An amazing tool to use in addition to my lessons. Doing a lesson on plants? There's a section for that. Doing a lesson about space? Yup, that too. Animals, man made tools, life cycle...etc. Think of it as a sort of text book. No activities are in this book. It's just a book that describes a topic on about a page or so. I read with my 6 year old during science lessons to help explain a topic. This is on top of any experiments, discussions, or other picture books I have too. It's great in conjunction with those.
We use this almost daily as a jumping point for science (kinder-second). It is very interesting with a well organized layout, it is a great reference book also. The pictures are colorful and pretty. It explains things very nicely in a way that children can grasp. When I first held it in my hands, I was disappointed because it seemed small. I was very pleased when I looked through the book, it is packed with information
