二十五块钱不应该是这样的……很薄很小，纸质也不好，只是因为是进口图书就这么贵吗？内容还没看，应该是正版。不过太贵了。
My grandson had to read the Stone Fox for his summer reading project. He needed the paper version as they will be using for school. The book came two days after ordering and he started reading it right away. The book is full of details about the boy and his dog, it gives great insight into the way people live that may not be as affluent as others. It is sad but true to the way of the world and how things work out sometimes. Good book
Nice size type and easy reading. I got this for my 8 year old grandson who loves to read. I always proof the books first before gifting and sadly this one I could not give him. I personally did not care for the tramatic event and the way the author didn't address the feelings of the child and just focused on the race. I am sure the realists may have no issue with it. Just didn't work for me.
This book didn't impress me and didn't have a long or understandable story line. I had seen other people like this book but I don't understand why.
This is such a good book. I think it is cool you got this idea because of legend. I am very sad that Searchlight had died. Little Willy seemed really sad and so was I. I hope that Little Willy and his grandfather paid off the Potato farm. I hope they will live for ever and keep Searchlights spirit alive with them. I guess Little Willy will turn into Mr.Willy and keep Spaceflight alive in his head. Stone Fox was kind to let Willy go to the finish line first. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE LOYAL AND FAITHFUL SEARCHLIGHT.
I have three copies of this book in my library. They are always checked out by 3rd - 5th graders. They really seem to enjoy it. It is a 4.0 Accelerated Reader level book. It reminds me of the story White Fang or The Call of the Wild. There is dog racing, and tragedy. It made me cry. The dog races causes the boy's dog to die. It was just too much for him, his heart burst. The good in humanity wins as the boy whose dog died giving his life for the family is allowed to win the race walking his dead dog across the finish line. There are so many good life lessons in this book. Read with a box of tissues.
