作者简介Karen Katz has written and illustrated more than fifty picture books and novelty books including the bestselling Where Is Baby's Belly Button? After graduating from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, she attended the Yale Graduate School of Art and Architecture where she became interested in folk art, Indian miniatures, Shaker art and Mexican art. Her book, Counting Kisses, was a Children's Book-of-the-Month Club Main Selection and an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio 2002 Gold Seal Award Winner. Karen, husband Gary Richards, and their daughter, Lena, divide their time between New York City and Saugerties, New York.

Our daughter loves another Karen Katz book that she got from my mom. However the printing must be older because on this newer printing the flaps do not stay glued on. The bond is really weak and my daughter pulled them off on the first time with the book. The older one she has had by herself several times for months and has still not pulled off a flap. These don't work so well if you can pull them off so easily. Great book otherwise.
My baby LOVES Karen Katz's book "Where is Baby's Belly Button?"! So much so that I set out to look for more of her books, and ended up buying both this one and the Daddy one. The pictures, concepts, and rhythm of the text aren't that smooth -- to read or to listen to -- my son doesn't react to it the same way he does to the Belly Button book. It's only "ok" in my view.
Excellent lift-the-flap kids book. I gave lots of these books to my nephew's kids as gifts. My nephew's wife is VERY picky as to what she likes - I think she wasn't sure what she thought of these books at first, but her son chooses these books to be read time and time again. I think she likes the sturdiness of the board books. I loved lift-the-flap when I was a kid - I'm glad my grand(?)-nephew enjoys them too - they make reading books (and learning from them) fun!
My favorite Karen Katz book so far. Fun pictures, great flaps and baby loves loves loves it!!!!!! Sturdy too!!!
My 18 mo old loves these Karen Katz books. We read them so often I keep ordering new stories every few months after they're memorized & fall out of favor. I had to keep her from ripping out the flaps at 12 mo, but they're sturdy enough to stand up to her enthusiasm now.
