Nick Butterworth (born 1946) is a British children's author and illustrator who has sold more than 12 million books. His best known creation is Percy the Park Keeper, the first of which is called One Snowy Night. There are now more than 30 books about Percy, who features on video, audio and CD, as well as having his own television series.
He has written and illustrated other children's books including Thud!, Q Pootle 5 and Jingle Bells and The Whisperer - Winner of the Nestle Prize 2005.
Nick Butterworth has presented children's stories on television, worked on a strip for Sunday Express Magazine and worked for various major graphic design companies.
