内容简介 This book introduces children to a wider world understanding by taking them on an exciting trip around the world and providing them with insight into how children in other countries live. Say Hello is a unique combination of atlas, foreign-language primer, and world travel guide. Young children love to learn new and unusual words, and this book will appeal to every child. Say Hello has a special soundbar that allows the child to choose one of ten major languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Hindi, Japanese, and Portuguese) and hear it spoken. Multilingual word lists with phonetic pronunciations are scattered throughout the book. Say Hello teaches the child to say hello in a total of 50 different languages . Each country featured is introduced by a child from that country who, after saying 'hello' in their native language, provides the reader with details about the way he or she lives. It is also possible to learn to write in Chinese or Arabic script and discover how to find a pen pal.
作者简介 Sue Unstead has a background as both editor and publisher of children's nonfiction, most recently for Dorling Kindersley, where she was responsible for creating a prestigious and award-winning reference list. Following a degree in English History of Art and Ancient History at Bristol University, she entered publishing and has spent over twenty-five years creating children's books. She has traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Europe, the Far East, and Australia, always trying to learn at least one greeting in the local language. Sue is now working as a freelance educational consultant for a number of children's publishers, as a book reviewer, and as a writer. She lives in rural Kent, England, with her husband and six-year-old son, singing, sailing and growing things.
Angie Sage has been illustrating for 25 years and has produced over 100 much-loved titles for children. Her versatile style appeals to children of all ages, and her artwork communicates ideas simply, encouraging the young reader. A degree in graphic design from Leicester University, England, has formed the basis of Angie's talent. She now works in a variety of media, including acrylics and gouache. Angie currently lives in beautiful rural Cornwall, in southwest England.
