Through working together, Max and his teammates find their true powers. While ambitious, this title fails to deliver. The mix of text, illustration, and comic panels proves too busy on many of the pages, and the story is pedestrian and schmaltzy. Changs illustrations are well done, though they are lost in this idiosyncratic format.
