内容简介 "Watch closely," said Mrs Jewls. "You can learn much faster using a computer instead of paper and pencil." Then she pushed the computer out of the window. The children all watched it fall thirty floors. "See?" said Mrs Jewls. "That's gravity " That's the way things happen at Wayside School. There are twenty nine kids in Mrs Jewls' class and this book is about all of them. There is Todd, who is in trouble every day, until he gets a magic dog. Paul, whose life is saved by Leslie's pigtails. Ron, who dares to try the cafeteria's mushroom surprise and all the others who help turn a day at Wayside School into one madcap adventure after another.
作者简介 Louis Sachar lives in Texas, USA where he writes his wonderful books for children. His novel HOLES is an international bestseller and has sold over half a million copies in the UK alone.

Of this follow-up to Sideways Stories from Wayside School , PW noted that the "30 tongue-in-cheek stories . . . are sure to appeal to the slightly caustic humor that is typical of middle readers." Ages 8-12.

From School Library Journal
Grade 3-6-- Wayside School is 30 stories high with only one room on each floor. On the top floor is Mrs. Jewls' class, where order has been abandoned in favor of nonsense and silliness. Each of the 30 stories in this collection features an unusual vignette or character sketch. The stories are only loosely tied together, and many have a shaggy dog quality. While adult readers may be left quizzical, children who relish the ridiculous will enjoy themselves tremendously. With bad puns, extended jokes, and an irreverent attitude, Sachar keeps his readers amused. This is a sequel to Sideways Stories from Wayside School (Scholastic, 1988). --Anne Connor, Los Angeles Public Library
