Being creative can solve almost any problem by defeating the established rules that might have caused that problem.  In finding the best solution to a problem, planning carefully should not be the option.  More often than not, the best way is doing new things and taking risks.

Creativity involves breaking out of old patterns associated with careful planning.  Nothing encourages creativity like the chance to invent, discover and have fun.  Indeed, every act of creativity is to refrain from repeating what other generations have done. Generally speaking, following the rules may be a good strategy to reduce mistakes, while it depends on creativity to really solve a problem in a different and simple manner.  Lack of imagination is a chief obstacle to solving a complicated problem, and imagination is exactly the beginning of creativity. And here lies the difference: planning carefully is commonplace that tends to make the simple complicated, but creativity does make the complicated simple.

Another word for creativity is courage.  Of course, careful planning is important to get things done slowly; but, when it comes to finding the real solution for a problem, taking fast and bold steps is the best approach.  Given that no great thing is created suddenly, you must allow yourself to take risks in experimenting new things so as to crack old problems.  Normally, creativity comes from trust in your own instinct as well as from listening to your own heart, even if it means an act of destruction on stereotypes standardized by calculating things unimaginatively.  It takes imaginative power rather than careful planning to connect things in a simple way, as did creative people like Apple's Steve Jobs. Without a courageous act,  a problem may remain only a problem.

It is common to think left, think right, think high, and think low about how to avoid making mistakes or  taking risks, only to be trapped in a complexity of ideas without having a problem solved in time.  Accordingly, what is more valuable to coming up with a solution is being creative.  It is appropriate to paraphrase Albert Einstein: Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that gave rise to such problems in the first place.
