boast的确是有夸耀、自吹自擂的意思
a: to puff oneself up in speech : speak vaingloriously;Talk with excessive pride and self-satisfaction about one’s achievements, possessions, or abilities.(这时boast是不及物动词，后常跟of/about)
eg: He continued to boast of his so-called carrer, yet we all knew that he had just gone bust.
He boasts about his beautiful and sexy wife.
boast 还有其他的意思哦。
作为及物动词时有如下二个意思：
b : to possess and often call attention to (something that is a source of pride)(有值得骄傲的东西)
eg: Our shool boasts a new stadium.
The museum boasts a collection of rare gems.
His garden boasts over 230 plant species, which is amazing.
c : have, contain (拥有、包含)
eg:a room boasting no more than a desk and a chair.
The squre boasts many pigeons and lovers.
This essay boasts many spelling mistakes and grammer misuse.
be rich in是富含的意思，和abundant(丰富)稍嫌语意重复。
It boasts of abundant tourist resources, with....这里作为不及物动词，可以理解为以······为耀，自豪的意思(take pride in/be proud of...)，不过我个人觉得如果将of去掉更好。
