作者简介

Howard Victor Chaykin is an American comic book writer and artist famous for his innovative storytelling and sometimes controversial material. Chaykin's main influences are the mid-20th Century book illustrators Robert Fawcett, Al Parker, and others, along with a love for jazz, which is often reflected in his work.

Howard Chaykin was the best person to write a story detailing the early aspects of Tony Stark's life before he became Iron Man.

Iron Man: Season One is what the movie could've been if Marvel Studios for whatever reason decide to take a much more serious tone instead of the fun, smart and arguably comedic tone that we have in the Iron Man films.

Howard Chaykin an artist I always liked but in this he is writing and he has a great voice for Tony Stark, one of the things I love is Chaykin does a much more darker version of Micheline and Layton's Stark. But for the story itself it is very weak and it throws a lot of things at you that doesn't really finish or makes you care. It also does some questionable ploting in the story specifically with Rhodey's character, S.H.I.E.L.D's werid involment and Tony being an addict of many things besides alcohol. The main villian(Imam Khouri) was one of the coolest things in this story, I felt he was very interesting and I loved the back story he had with Tony Stark but the story and character development was so rushed that you didn't really care towards the end and from reading it the story didn't either.

Art is by Gerald Parel and it is very pretty to look at but doesn't fit well at all, when I got to the action scenes you really don't know what's happening unless you look very closely at the panels.

Overall I thought this was okay and has much as I'm bashing it I really enjoyed this, it may only appeal to the big Iron Man fans such as myself or if your just a fan of Howard Chaykin's work. I really wish Chaykin was given more time on this because it would have been really cool if he got to draw this as well.
