This is a quick read. My 3-year-old daughter practically memorized it after a few reads, which became its own fun, as she would "read" it to me. As always, Donaldson makes memorable rhymes, but this one doesn't have the complexity of the Gruffalo, Highway Rat, or her other books with Scheffler.
Love this book for my 2.5 year old. He has the series of all three by this author/illustrator duo and they're great books. Funny, well-illustrated, and I don't mind reading them over and over again, which is often requested.

Not my favorite of her books but our 3-year-old grandson loves it.
