While this is a small book, its contents are useful, helpful, and well thought out for learning Project Management. Not a textbook, but a good resource to have on hand and use to refresh on PM topics. Recommend.
Small book but great help me in class. Looks very professional. Must have for my library and great source of reference.
I didn't really find much new here, nothing to make a substantial difference in what I already do. Also, project management can be so company specific, your best bet is to learn from a master in the company you are currently employed.
This is an extremely basic manual that is written at the junior-high level, e.g. for intelligent Scouts. The previous version was full of compelling photos of interesting people Doing Stuff, which are necessary to keep the target audience's attention engaged, in an otherwise dry and pedestrian subject. Unfortunately, the editor of the current volume appears to have killed even this feature. The results will only be useful for young people who are already motivated to become PMs--perhaps freshmen taking a required course, or interns at a company who want to climb the ladder--and will not be useful for people who do not already know project management and are trying to find out whether they're going to be interested in it or not. Which is a real shame, because PM is where the rubber meets the road, and it can be quite fascinating after you get past all the basics. I'm buying a copy of the PREVIOUS edition for my niece.
Great book or booklet,but don't let the size fool you. This is laid out nicely and provides clarity to complex subject matter. Even though I've been a Project Manager for along time, this book really added alot to my approach. Can't go wrong. Price and quality are there for the taking.
