Wow. This has got to be the first book EVER that I've abandoned before I got HALFWAY through the story.

The first book in this series was amazing, and I'm really looking forward to the movie coming out. Seriously, a maze with 50 or so teenage boys are living, but nobody knows where they've come from? Fascinating! And one day, a girl who has telepathic powers with the main protagonist pops up out of the blue? Count me in!!

The second one was sort of sucky for me, but I've been on a 10 hour drive and I needed something to do while waiting to get home from skiing, so I struggled through it. There were some pretty good parts, and that ending left me wanting to know what the HECK was going on. I just really didn't like some of the characters, most notably Brenda. I just found her to be annoying. I really agree with what another reviewer said. Thomas had more romantic tension with Newt than he did either of those girls.

Right now I'm sitting in a minivan driving through Texas, bored out of my MIND, and there is NO WAY that I am going to try and finish the third book. I found the QUARTER that I read to be too full of Thomas being whiny/stupid and I keep wishing I could punch him in the face. Brenda is even more annoying than she was in the second book, and Teresa seems to be the only person with a SLIGHTLY level head.

I would recommend the first book to people who LOVE the Hunger Games and Divergent (can't wait to see the movie!:)), the second to those who have a certain level of patience, and the third book to anyone who can get past the first quarter. I'm sorry, but I just can't do it.
