Brilliant, full of wisdom and practical help points - do not read it if you plan to go to Harvard Business School

It sounded timeless from the reviews, but it's not. I run a 20 person actively growing professional services business and there's nothing in there for me. He likes to name drop famous sports players that were his clients and talks about using informal letters instead of contracts (been burned by that), how to correspond - which is completely outdated 30 years later - and how to leverage cocktail parties that were the big thing back in the early 1980s - not to mention that a lot of his examples are from the late 60s and 70s. This may have been a great book in its day, but its irrelevant now.

This book was interesting, educational, and super easy to read. Had to have it for a grad class and now I'm passing it on to my friends in the business world.

This is seriously the best business book I have ever read and I have read many. He is straightforward and gives so much valuable insight into his business success. The book was written in the 80's and is still as applicable today as then.

A book that Every MBA, business manager or college student should read before they set out to do the real work of making, selling or managing something/anything. It might be called the common sense guide to management and the work of managing.
