My job was eating me alive. I turned to HBR for help and once again it came through. I have had several epiphanies starting with (don't laugh) I'm not the only manager in America drowning in detail, priority mucking and the stress that arises from that. As I write this review, the article I have gotten the most from is "Whose Got the Monkey." It is instantly helpful to manage your time, especially if you have direct reports.

Very good tips and practical to implement, when you do not cope with your daily tasks.
Start immediate to implement a number of the tips.
Very easy to follow and it address the real day to day problems.
Will recommend it to every one ina working evironment, and it will improve you effetiveness.

Very well organised and the topics are very relevent. While the aim is not to go deep, it has done a very good job of covering the width of the subject. The coverage on issues like mail box, prioritisation, time management, focus, energy management etc are very appropriate and useful. Worth the read and implementation. Also, as the topics are independent, it is a very easy read as we can go to the topic which interests us directly without going through the entire book.

This is a nice, compacted study of productivity skills. I could have done without the interview sections, but the book was still good.

This is a great set of recipes for prioritizing and time management
