Art of the Corvette

America's original - and long considered its best - sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette is fast, sexy, sleek, sublime. The legacy of the Corvette is matched only by its beauty, captured here like never before.

Art of the Corvette profiles two dozen Corvettes from all seven generations, beginning with the first 1953 Blue Flame Six Corvette and concluding with the return of an icon, the stunning 2014 Corvette Stingray. Using a unique style of portraiture known as light-painting, acclaimed photographers Randy Leffingwell and Tom Loeser present the most recognizable, unique, and historic Corvettes ever produced. From the chrome-lined grilles of the 1953 Roadster and sexy curves of the first C3s to the aggressive snarl of the 2012 ZR1 and the bold, blunt powerhouse of the 2014 Corvette Stingray, all are presented in breathtaking color and detail. Rare and one-off cars abound as well, like the 1963 Z06 Sting Ray and one of only a handful of 1967 L88 convertibles.

With an authoritative text by Leffingwell, one of the world's leading Corvette historians, and over 200 stunning photographs, Art of the Corvette presents this landmark of American automotive engineering and design, the Chevrolet Corvette, as never before seen. Some of the vehicles you'll find inside include:

1953 Corvette - 1963 Sting Ray Z06 coupe - 1966 Sting Ray L72 coupe - 1969 L71 convertible - 1978 Indy Pace Car - 1989 convertible - 1996 Grand Sport coupe - 2003 50th anniversary convertible - 2012 ZR1 coupe - 2014 C7 Stingray coupe

"As a writer who's frequently lost in wonder at the talent (and patience) of photographers, the final chapter on how Leffingwell's "light-painting" shots were made is as fascinating as staring at the cockpit details of a '63 Stingray." - "Racer.com / Sports Car Club of America"

My review is for Art of The Corvette(Both Regular Edition,Blue 66' Roadster on Cover/rear and the Limited edition(500copies)67'Blue Headlights up Cover)Versions. Both are Visual feasts for the Eyes,Superb and Elegant.

I have The regular version and the Limited Edition #482 of 500 from Amazon. The Limited has a different cover also a Art Print, limited to 500 copies and signed by the author and comes in a elegant Slipcase,It comes with a Print that you can frame it comes inside the book, the book inside itself is a red hardcover for the Art of The Corvette Limited, and the slipcase is HUGE,it is what is pictured for the limited on Amazon and elsewhere which is the Blue 67' Roadster Lights up,the non-Limited comes Hardcover with Dustjacket and blue 66' Roadster on cover.
As for the "Regular" edition, regular or non-limited it is still a great book, beautiful photography as Usual The Author does not disappoint with his writing and Photography,Although there are no Racers which I believe should merit a Book of its Own Art of The Corvette Racer,I recall pitching "Art Of The Corvette" when I started to see all the "Art of" Transport Books so I am glad my recommendation or call it luck was taken into consideration. There is no C6 Grand Sport in here, and the C6/C7 Section is short However the different cars featured Including Zora Arkus-Duntov' Personal 63' Z06 Big Tank Coupe and 89'Corvette Roadster(Hardtop). There is so much in here that is beautiful I have to keep going back and appreciate it more just in awe.

Bought for a friend who is a Corvette enthusiast, for his birthday. He loved it!

Disappointment given the title. The photography was too gimmiky and as I own a 2011 Grandsport I was disappointed few photos of anything newer. Compared to "Art of the Hot Rod" it was very, very weak.

What a beautiful cover!!!!! After you open the book it just keeps getting better. The cars on the pages of this book represent our (Corvette enthusaiast) marquee to the highest level. The photography is fantastic. Thanks you for putting together such a great book. Glenn Hutchinson / Corvettes of Naples, Fl.
