今天收到就迫不及待的看了……印象最深的就是pigs live in a pen with a littl house ……一度以为是open，印刷错误……后来仔细查看资料，原来pen 还有栅栏的意思……就是没有音蘋……
一直想买的书，开本大，是有点厚重
非常好的英语启蒙书，前提是孩子已经过了字母学习这一关。4岁的孩子，平时在双语幼儿园唱英文歌学简单单词，现在给他念这本书，小朋友爱不释手，处处都有学过的单词，一个人抱着书找很欢乐。音频网上有，自己听听再念给孩子听纠正发音。唯一不爽的是，刚买三天就降价了近五十块，亚马逊这价格让人搞不懂。

Cute stories & We like the illustrations. BEST Feature - top of page has 1 short sentence, bottom as several sentences. The stories can be told reading just the top, just the bottom or top & bottom. Great for trading reading w/ a beginning or reluctant reader. Much nicer than "see spot" ;) I have purchased more of these and given as baby gifts - recipients have loved them too! There are more books with different themes -- haven't been disappointed with any of them .... but I always buy 2nd hand, so have a little more leniency in our world.
I'm reviewing Usborne Phonics Readers The Complete Book of Farmyard Tales with CD (the one that contains all twenty Phonics Readers titles).
We have more than two hundred children's books but the Usborne phonics readers (and a related title: Usborne Phonics Readers Ted and Friends with CD) have been the ones that have been the most useful in helping our child learn to read. The illustrations, text and audio work together to create stories that captured our son's interest and charmed him into falling in love with these stories and ultimately the language that makes them.
The experience is multifaceted because these well crafted stories can be experienced on many levels. At the simplest level, there is a small bird waiting to be discovered on each page. The charming drawings illustrate the story even without words. A few simple words at the top of each page give a summary. A couple of sentences below enrich the detail. The excellent CD reading with interesting sound effects, brings it all alive.
I found this book/CD to be a valuable resource to help my child discover and love reading.
I absolutely LOVE this book! I bought it for my granddaughter who is 2. She's looked at this book so much that it started coming apart at the seam. (No fault of the product, just LOTS of loving use)! So I immediately ordered a second one. She has fallen in love with this book and all the characters. Curly the pig, Poppy & Sam, Rusty the dog. The illustrations and characters are so precious it's wonderful for both adults and children to share. We also love the adorable little duck that's hidden on every page! It's so much fun to find where he's hiding next, and usually brings on those priceless giggles! Don't hesitate to buy this book. It has quickly become a family favorite and created a vast love of reading for my granddaughter!
What a great way to spend time with your child. If you prefer, you can use the CD, although my daughters only 2 and would prefer we point and identify the animals more than read the story.
High quality paper makes it perfect for little hands that can get too excited at times. This might not be as sturdy as a board book, but it's a nice runner up.
The picture's are great. Lots of different animals present on most of the pages which happens to be one of my child's favorite things to see. "Mooo" and "baaa" are frequent sounds effects as we flip through the book. Plus, there's a 'hidden' duck on each page to make a game out of "where's the ducky?". All of this as well as two ways to read the book: A short, simpler summary at the top for early readers, with a longer explanation at the bottom for 'Mums turn' or more advanced readers. Great for so many ages. We had the first book given to us, but when I realized the value, I purchased this book that has the complete works. Well worth it!!!
