I bought this for my granddaughter who is mad about planes and helicopters. I did not quite understand how the book works until I saw it. Each page is a drawing on translucent (not transparent) paper. The child (or adult) removes it from the book, colors it as they wish, and then can hang it in a window or some place where the light can shine through it to create the stained glass effect. The drawings are all much as the one on the cover. Not photo realistic, but not too simple either. They are all action shots rather than static poses, which makes them more fun for the kids, I think.
Since it is for Christmas, I have not given it to her yet but the other older grandkids say they know this kind of book and that she will LOVE it. I think she will have lots of fun coloring these pages.
I will purchase more of these.

I did not buy this for me, but when I received it, some pictures are overdone with excessive details that add too much to the picture, simpler would have been better.
