作者简介

Arlynn McMahon has worked for 22 years at Aero-Tech flight school where she specializes in aeronautical decision making and risk management. Arlynn has been honored as the 2009 national Flight Instructor of the Year, and she is a NAFI Master Flight Instructor and a Sport Pilot Examiner who holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and an FAA Gold Seal. The author of 14 accredited flight courses, she has also written articles for NAFI Mentor, Women in Aviation, and AOPA Flight Training magazine. She lives in Versailles, Kentucky.

This book features "scenario-based training," which is actually training in the art of "thinking like a pilot." If you are an instructor, a pilot preparing for a flight review, or a pilot-in-training, you will benefit from using Arlynn's exercises and approach to training. There are examples of scenarios you can use in flight, during ground training, and in aviation training devices (like Microsoft Flight Sim). This method is much more engaging, and more useful, than the rote regurgitation of regulations and facts. Get this book if you want to train---or be---a better pilot.

I'm finishing up my CFI initial certificate and SBT is a pretty big special emphasis area on the new practical tests. The author is very educated on the subject and it was a very enjoyable read. This book made me feel comfortable building my own syllabus of scenario-based lessons
