Process Equipment Malfunctions: Techniques to Identify and Correct Plant Problems |
Process Equipment Malfunctions offers proven techniques for finding and fixing process plant problems and contains details on failure identification. Diagnostic tips, examples, and illustrations help to pinpoint and correct faults in chemical process and petroleum refining equipment. Complex math has been omitted. An essential resource for plant operators and process engineers, this book is based on the author's long career in field troubleshooting process problems.

作者简介Norman P. Lieberman is a chemical engineer with 46 years of experience in process plant operation, design, and field troubleshooting. An independent consultant, he troubleshoots oil refinery and chemical plant process problems and prepares revamp process designs. Mr. Lieberman teaches 20–25 seminars a year on “Troubleshooting Process Plant Operations,” and this book is based on his long experience in field troubleshooting refinery and process plant problems.

I have almost every book Lieberman has written and I love his fairly simple explanations, and his occasionally funny commentary to go along with his explanation. It helps break up what would otherwise be very dry reading.
This is the 3rd or 4th Lieberman book I purchased and probably the best. Though there is significant overlap with other books of his, the additional material and the way it is presented make purchasing the book certainly worth it. Either a student, an experienced operator a design office or manufacturing site engineer, there is something in the book for all...
This is a great book for practicing process engineers, especially young engineers just beginning their careers. It contains a large number of different topics with real world examples and in-the-field, practical application shortcuts.
change impeller? try frequency inversors
should have more schemes
non sistematic approach for problem solving
but. a good book for general learning
thank you
