In Victoria Kann’s ninth Pinkalicious I Can Read book, Pinkalicious: Puptastic!, Pinkalicious is expecting to have a pinkatastic weekend puppy-sitting. She’s sure she’ll have all kinds of fun with Pinky, the visiting poodle. But Pinky is shy and doesn’t want to play. Pinkalicious gets creative and coaxes the poodle into having a fabulous time.

My girls (ages 3 and 6) are big fans of Pinkalicious and we have purchased every book. We pre-ordered and received this book today on its release date and read it tonight for their bedtime story. It was a big hit.
Pinkalicious is excited when she finds out that the family gets to dog sit for a Poodle named Pinky while her owner is out of town. But to her surprise, Pinky the Poodle isn't Pink at all and is too scared to play with Pinkalicious. All seems lost until Pinkalicious comes up with an idea for a bubble bath because that always make her feel better. Pinky loves snapping at the bubbles and starts having fun. But during all the fun, a bottle of "Pink" spills into the tub and you'll never guess what happens to plain white Pinky. You'll just have to read the book and see.
This book is another one of those stories with Pinkalicous just being a happy, fun-loving kid. There is no crazy, unrealistic fantasy journey in the middle of the book and the story is very positive throughout with no "Mean Girl", "Pink Stinks" negativity that is found in some of the books. My girls really enjoyed the fun story and, of course, the happy ending. There is even a clever call back reference in the story where Green Soap is used to clean up the Pink just like Green Vegetables get rid of Pink in the first book. It is also a nice, easy reader for my 6 year old to read to her younger sister. When I asked my girls what they thought, my 6 year old said "It was Great" and my 3 year old said "Awesome". I didn't even know "Awesome" was in her vocabulary yet. Obviously, my girls really enjoyed it as their bedtime story tonight and it will make a nice addition to our Pinkalicious collection. Highly Recommended!
I'll be honest, I have no idea why my child likes this line of books. Most of the stories (not all, but most) are somewhat shallow and uninteresting. This one is for early readers so I don't expect alot of detail so I will rate it middle of the road.
Both of my daughters like Pinkalicious and dogs. So they both like this book. I think it's just ok. Nothing special but not a bad book. In this story, Pinkalicious takes care of a friends dog. At first, the dog is scared. But then Pinkalicious turns it pink, and they become best friends.
My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves Pinkalicious books. She is in kindergarten and is learning how to read. These books do a great job of incorporating both wight words and words that are a little more difficult. A must have for any little girl beginning her journey into the world of reading.
This is a great book in the Pinkalicious series. In it, Pinkalicious dog sits and turns the dog pink in the bathtub. It's a cute story and my daughter and wife love this book.
